The depth of the Spanish first division, La Liga is tremendous. Barca Real dominate the domestic and European competitions, whereas other Spanish top clubs would definitely do well in various domestic European competitions were they to play there.

One of these clubs is Sevilla FC, which was founded in 1902. Sevilla play their home games in the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium which holds a capacity of some 45,000 seats. Current manager is Unai Emery former professional football player of Real Sociedad. Before training Sevilla
Emery was trainer of Valencia and Spartak Moscow. Sevilla has won La Liga once, in 1946, a long time ago. Their last Copa del Rey win however was more recent in 2010. They won the Copa five times in total.

Athletic Club, or Athletic Bilbao, is a professional football club from Bilbao, in Basque country, Spain. Bilbao was founded in 1898 and plays in San Mamés stadium, with 40,000 seats. Athletic Bilbao's manager is Marcelo Bielsa, former coach of Chile, Argentina and Espanyol.
Bilbao have been fairly succesfull in La Liga as they won the national title 8 times, the last time being in the 1983 1984 season. Bilbao are real cupfighters as they won the Copa del Rey a staggering 23 times which is almost a record.

Málaga CF is a football club from the southern Spanish city of Malaga and was founded in 1904. Currently Málaga CF is owned by Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani from Qatar. Home games are played in the Rosaleda stadium (29,000 seats). Malaga do not have many domestic sucesses although they are ranked fairly high in the UEFA rankings. That says enough about the high level of football in Spain. Notable players from Malaga CF are Salomón Rondon, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Raúl Castronovo.

Levante UD is a spanish top club from Valencia, which was founded in 1909. It is the second club of the city of oranges, after Valencia CF. The home games of Levante are played in the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium which has a capacity of over 25,000 seats. The club currently plays in La Liga which it has never won. Former famous players of Levante are Arouna Kone, Shota Arveladze and Johan Cruyff in 1981, after his best years were behind him.
