Manchester United was founded in 1878 as the Newton Heath LYR Football Club. Manchester United, nicknamed Red Devils, wear red shirts and white shorts and when playing at home in Old Trafford. Since then Manchester United have won every major Cup, both in England as in Europe. During the 98-99 season, Man utd. Won the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup all in the same season. In the 00's Manchester United added seven more Premier League championships, one FA Cup and three League Cups.

The colours of Manchester United have been red and white since 1902 when the current apparel was formed: red shirts, white shorts and black socks. The away colours have had more variety, ranging from white to black to blue to gold. The current 2012-2013 away colours are white shirts with black shorts and again, white socks.

Manchester United are playing in Old Trafford which was opened in 1910 and which has a capacity of over 75,000 seats. This makes Old Trafford the third largest football stadium of Europe, behind the stadiums of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
